| We met in March 1981 through my best friend at College, Helen. I suppose I forgave her for that as she was my Chief bridesmaid and later Claire's Godmother :) I don't hold grudges, lol. I guess we just got on, our first real 'date' was at a 'Stuff the Royal Wedding' Gig at Broadbottom Community centre, (The Charles & Di Wedding, sorry to all the Royalists :) and that was it, we moved into our first rented house in September of that year and bought and moved into our new house on New Years Eve 1981 !! It was our 21st Anniversary August 2004 so I suppose we must be doing something right :) the kids are grown now and it's getting back to me & Mike and it's not so bad I guess, lol, still broke though :) nothing new there! Now the mussy stuff (feel free to scroll away if you want to:) It's not always been that easy and there have been a few bad hitches over the years but I guess the reason we are still together is that we still love each other, my life would be totally wrong without Mike and I know he feels the same, we are getting more time for us and enjoying the new freedom that you get when your kids are less dependant on you both, I think we both found that we still had a life of our own. There are many changes to come over the next few years, I will finish University and have to finally get a 'real' job :) and Mike will have money in his pocket once again!) the kids will have their lives and homes of their own, and I know that we will be ok, life does get better all the time, I am starting to realise this at long last. So, love you Mike, you already know that but it never hurts to repeat it. Here's to another 24 years, yikes!
